From security guards and custodians to administrative assistants and art handlers, the staff of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art keeps the museum running smoothly for the benefit of the people of Kansas City.

But what the public doesn’t get to see is that members of the museum staff often harbor artistic talents of their own. Naturally, the museum draws a community of caretakers who love art and devote their lives to it in more than one sense.
