Edgeplay was a solo exhibition by Bec Sommer.

This new series of paintings on canvas with chain and leather supports explores sadism, both recreational and punitive, and whether it is possible to draw a line between the two. Highly influenced by the concept of a “scene” borrowed from kink and BDSM communities, Sommer’s work evokes the temporary fictionalized time and space opened up between two or more people that is used to play out dynamics of power and control.
