Convos At the Dinner Table is the first-ever undergraduate student exhibition hosted at Vulpes Bastille in partnership with Gallery Athanor.

78 students from 8 different universities are represented in the show: the Kansas City Art Institute, University of Central Missouri, Johnson County Community College, Metropolitan Community College, Kansas University, University of Missouri, University of Missouri-Kansas City, and Avila University.

The Main and Sub gallery are broken into quadrants — “Convos”—around different themes in the students’ work. Grief, body, community, and whimsy are thoughtfully explored individually and in dialogue with the other works.  

Each artwork represents a young artist engaging and reflecting on their rapidly changing world. The show provides a platform and introduction of each artist, while simultaneously bringing them together in conversation. Their fresh perspective sheds new light on undercurrents shaping our society and its future.

This is an exciting showcase of the next generation of artistic talent here in Kansas City. 

Running from April 4th to April 25th, this exhibition celebrates the creativity and vision of student artists from multiple universities, art schools, and colleges across the metropolis.
