What Comes After? explores the tension between fear and desire — the fear of the unknown paired with the innate human craving to understand what lies beyond it.

The piece reflects our yearning to see beyond the limits of what we know, to pull back the veil that both shields and obscures us. Whether the fear is of what comes after life, or what comes after a certain chapter of life, we are put in a vulnerable state when we confront any unknown.

The use of sheer fabric acts as that veil: a delicate barrier that blurs our surroundings, offering both protection and distance. It invites the viewer to question whether safety lies in remaining hidden or in confronting what is yet to be revealed.

In this work, vulnerability becomes an act of curiosity. To step into uncertainty is to surrender comfort — and the desire to know, to feel, to move forward despite not knowing what comes after is all a part of being human.
